39 Weeks

Amy is officially 39 weeks. Hooray! We are excited for little Zach to come and we look forward to the delivery soon. We added a new tab to the top of our website. It is Zach's home page. We will post pictures and any news on Zach's homepage.

Dinosaurs and Slides!

Over the past few weeks we have been doing some extra activities. Last Tuesday we went to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum. Matthew and Ryan just loved the whole experience. When they started to see the dinosaurs they started growling, running, and Ryan was yelling "big, big dinosaurs!". They ran through the museum three times before they wore out Mom and Dad. On Friday we went to my company's summer party. They had Famous Dave's BBQ, snow cones, face painting, inflatable toys, and Peter Brienholt and Ryan Shupe. Ryan and Matthew really got into the music. But the biggest hit was the inflatable slide. It was almost impossible to get them off, even when we went to get a snow cone! (You can click on the pictures to see a larger image)

Matthew's First Day of Preschool

We have a neighbor a few doors down who decided to open a preschool this year. Matthew has practically been counting down the days until school started. Yesterday at breakfast he told me, "Mom, this is my last day off until preschool." When he woke up this morning, he was definitely ready. It helped that he woke up with great bed head!

This is Matthew just before school with his very first backpack he picked out all by himself.

I thought I was ready to send him off for a couple of hours, but I have to admit that I was a little sad when he went. It's good for him to have something of his very own though. Ryan was not happy with the change - he kept going to the window and saying "Machew, where are you?" and "Machew, come on." He even brought me his shoes at one point. I'm sure missing Matthew won't last too long, especially when little brother comes along!

Matthew had a great time at school. He told me he wants to go back on the bus next time. Too bad it's only a few doors away!

Nylons Need Instructions

I'm pretty sure that's not how you are supposed to wear them.

Only 4 weeks to go!

Matthew's been pretty impressed with the size of my expanding tummy. He asked the other day if I was going to explode. And the next day he was convinced he saw a crack in my belly. Who knows? Maybe this little guy is going to come in a more exciting way than we thought.
