Ryan has been working on teeth for the past few weeks. Three have cut through in the last few days and the forth should cut soon. All four are on the top. He has woken up a few times the last few nights because of the pain. Hopefully this onslaught of teeth will slow down. By the way, Ryan has started to grind his teeth...Amy really doesn't like that.

Carl and Brookes Wedding
On Wednesday we attended Carl and Brooke's wedding. It is nice to have another person who can carry on the Tams family name. Carl's family had done a great job at doing the little things. It was a lot of fun but it was hot.
Because the luncheon was in Salt Lake and the reception was in Bountiful we decided to set up our base camp at Amy's parents house. Amy got her hair cut and Matthew and Ryan got to spend some quality time with Amy's Mom. Amy's sister Brittany also dropped by with Dillon and Mylie.
At the reception I was able to speak with my old friend Brett and his family. Brett is still working in construction management and it appears that his family is really doing great. It would be nice to be closer to the family in Northern Utah but we are happy to have a home and a job.

Ward camp out
On June 22 the family attended the Slate Canyon 7th Ward camp out. I was a nice drive. Honestly we almost turned around but we knew the campground was 7 miles away. It felt like we have been driving for more than 7 miles but the truth was it had only been a few miles. We had Hamburgers and Hot dogs and they were really good. The activities committee did a great job at organizing the whole thing. Matthew's favorite part was playing in the stream. The Potter boy's (neighbors) were soaked wet and it was a challenge trying to keep Matthew from getting wet. But we did it. Matthew also liked running in the tall grass. Exploring the campgrounds and climbing up whatever he could.
We didn't spend the night but hopefully sometime soon we will do some car camping. I'll post a picture soon.

The Speed of Trust - PMI Business Meeting
Today I attended the PMI-Northern Utah Business Meeting and Luncheon. I am interesting in becoming a member and I wanted to see if it was worth the expense. The meeting was very interesting and very audience specific. I really enjoyed the presentation given by Barry Rellaford: The Speed of Trust.
The idea is if trust does not exist in your organization then you are less effective. You pay a tax. Think about working with people you don't trust. You check everything, you watch over them, basically you are just doing it for them. In a trusted environment you can let that person do their job and they are not only trustworthy but they are proficient in their responsibilities. Much of the presentation was from a Book by Stephen M. R. Covey...the son of Stephen Covey and the appear to be sound. I will start reading the book and I will let you know how it goes.
Overall I would say that my impressions were great. I hope to go to other meetings after the summer break.

Ba-Ba-Ba

Ryan has been babbling for a while, but today he actually started to put together some ba's. Ba-Ba-Ba all day long. It's pretty cute!
