It's....

..been a busy week! We are in the process of potty training Matthew right now and some days are definitely going better than others. I think he is finally starting to catch on, though, so maybe in the next month or so we can be done with diapers for him. Here's hoping!

He has also been working on getting himself dressed in the morning. He usually does pretty well, but this is what he looked like a couple of days ago.

I should have pulled out the Kris Kross. A little "Jump, Jump" would have gotten him psyched for backwards day!

Ryan has become our little monkey. I thought it would take him awhile considering his short little legs, but the kid is resourceful. I've caught him multiple times up on the toilet (trying to flush it), up on one of the chairs at the kitchen table (trying to dump my lunch all over the floor), and hanging from the cutting board, swinging his legs to find something that will get him on top of the counter. Now all the chairs and cutting board have to be pushed in immediately after use. And the bathroom stays closed for the most part, except for when Matthew is going potty, in which case Ryan finds some way to throw something into the toilet.

And to top it all off, we found out that we are going to have another little boy join our family. It wasn't a huge surprise since we've been calling him the little guy almost from the beginning. All of these little brothers must really need each other. Now we have to start working on a name. Unfortunately we used our two favorites on the first and second round. At least we have 4 months or so to work it out! Hooray for our third little missionary!

Boy or a Girl (please vote)

Later this week Amy is scheduled to have her ultrasound to find out the gender of Baby #3. To make this a little more fun we wanted to have a vote to see if our family and friends can guess the gender of baby #3. The poll is located to the right of this post.

Here are some facts about our pregnancy so far: 1) Amy had evening sickness and she wasn't sick with Matthew or Ryan. 2) On the Tams side eleven of the fourteen grandchildren are boys.

Yes, it's true!

We didn't realize that we had posted on April Fool's Day (thanks Steph!), but to clear up any confusion, we are happy to announce that we are expecting Baby #3 toward the beginning of September. We will be finding out what we are having in a couple of weeks. We're pretty sure it's going to be a boy considering our track record, but I guess you just never know. We are very excited and will be sure to keep you posted!

I'm Going to Pump YOU Up!

Although Matthew has never heard of Arnold Schwarzenegger, he definitely had him in mind. We were at the dinner table a couple of nights ago talking about how big Ryan was getting and how much Matthew liked to play with him. We mentioned that some day Ryan would be able to move into Matthew's room and they could share a lot of things together. Excitedly, Matthew suggested we move Ryan into his room that night. We explained that Ryan wasn't quite big enough but would be in the next few months. This was Matthew's response: "I know what we could do. We can get daddy's pump and put it into Ryan's belly button and pump him up so he will get bigger and bigger." We thought it was a pretty clever idea. Matthew has come up with some interesting things to say lately. It must be due to all of the conversations we've had about the new baby coming to our house soon.

My Boys

Here is a picture of my boys on Easter morning. I think they are pretty handsome. Too bad Ryan decided not to look at the camera. :)
