Lego LDS Brigham City Temple

We are getting excited for the new Brigham City Temple.  Today after church the boys and Kevin  found all of our white Legos and did their best to build a replica.

We think all of our friends and cousins who like to play with Legos should try and build one with their Dad or Mom.

Andrew contributed by taking a nap and not wrecking the temple!

Matthew built the back side of the temple.  Very creative.

As soon as Ryan saw the water on the base plate he knew he had to build a baptismal font.

Ryan also came up with the idea to use C-3PO for the Angel Moroni.  I'm not sure why, but we actually had a Lego trumpet (although a little smashed).. 

I'm not sure how close it is to the real temple but it was a lot of fun.  We can't wait to see inside during the open house.  You can get tickets starting July 30 at 10am.  http://mormontemples.org/brighamcity

The Copper Mine

Yesterday we got to spend time with Amy's side of the family.  It was a lot of fun playing with our cousins at Copperton Park.  The boys had a blast playing tag, going down the slides, and running around the tunnel structure they had.  We played kickball and had lunch there.  We had so much fun that we forgot to take pictures!

After lunch we headed to the Kennecott Copper Mine for a tour.  We loved watching the big trucks move all the rocks and dirt around.  It was a fun day.

Tonight Amy was out with the Relief Society so it was my job to put the boy's to bed.  Andrew wasn't very happy with that idea and had been crying for about 15 minutes.  I remembered, that when I was singing the other boys songs after prayers, Andrew had been quiet, so I thought I would go back into their room and sing him some songs with the hope that maybe he would calm down.  (Of course the boys were not asleep like they should have been).  So I started singing one song and he calmed down and then our sweet little boys started singing primary songs until Andrew was asleep.  Amazing.

Of course after I came back into their room to thank them...they were in trouble again.  On a unrelated note...here is a picture (aka Proof) from this years Fathers and Sons.  Yes, I did take them camping.
